Covid-19 Update
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, What a comfort it is to know that Jesus is Lord of all, and especially at all times! He is with us even now amidst this pandemic. Thank you for the sacrifices and adaptations you have made, we know you are tired, may God give us all strength.

Our province announced its concern that rising COVID 19 case numbers are beginning to threaten our healthcare system. They have asked all people to follow new temporary health restrictions and do what they can to "bend the curve back down." The province announced that places of worship limit attendance to 15% of capacity. This will not affect us as we are already under that number. However, we do ask that especially during these next few weeks you come to church and proceed directly to your pew to avoid socializing. This also ensures that when you say hi to others attending you maintain your two meters distance. Thank you for this. We also remind you of what you are no doubt already aware: that to come to church you must not have any COVID 19 symptoms, have not been in contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID 19, must wear a mask, and maintain your physical distancing at all times.

Thank you so much for your sacrifice. As a congregation we have freely chosen to follow these guidelines not out of fear or even out of obedience to those God has placed in authority over us (Romans 13:1-7) but out of love for our neighbour (Matthew 7:12) that people might glorify God (Matthew 5:16).

God bless you all as you continue to receive Jesus Lord of all!
Pastor Lyons and the leaders of Bethlehem.

**********

Bethlehem now has in-person Sunday services. You are welcome to join us using the following guidelines. There will be two services, one at 9am and the other at 11am following all AHS guidelines. Please contact the office to attend. You MUST have an assigned service time or RSVP for us to maintain the allowed number of people and keep a record of attendees.  We can’t wait to see you in person once again!

Please take a moment to watch this video explaining how to come to Church. It will help answer many of your questions.
How to Come to Church

Communion will once again be available at both services (9am and 11am) every other Sunday.
Please watch the video explaining how to take communion at Bethlehem.
How to Take Communion

Effective August 1, 2020, wearing a mask or face covering will be mandatory in all indoor public places.  This includes everyone attending services at Bethlehem. The exceptions to the bylaw are: children under 2 years old, people with underlying medical conditions or disabilities that prevent them from safely wearing a face covering, those who cannot wear or remove a mask without assistance and caregivers or those accompanying someone with a disability. If you have any questions about this, please contact the church office.
Thank you for doing your part to keep everyone safe.

Watch Online: We will continue caring for our church family and our community with love and the Gospel in new ways. If you are unable to attend our church service in person, we invite you to join us for our live worship service every Sunday at 11:00 am or for Daily Devotions every week night at 7:00 pm. You can also see the recorded versions at a later time both on Facebook (click on videos) or on YouTube (subscribe for updates and quick access).

Offerings: We have received many questions about how to continue giving our regular offerings. We currently have 2 ways that you can give. LCC has an easy way for you to donate online. Visit www.lutheranchurchcanada.ca and click on the “Support My Home Congregation” link on the home page. It will walk you through making your donation. You can also mail your offering envelopes to the church.
