Families arrive in a large sunlit foyer. A spacious classroom allows children to play in a variety of centers. There is generous space for large group activities. The huge gymnasium offers many opportunities for large motor play and social interaction.
There are opportunities to use collage materials, items for sculpture, architectural blocks, clay & playdough, and a variety of paints. Fine Art supplies are often used.

Children practice writing letters and words. They do activities to promote fine motor control, i.e. colouring, tracing, hole punching and using scissors. Practicing proper pencil grip and using scissors correctly are emphasized.
There is a large train set and many construction toys. There are Fisher Price and Playmobil sets, and vehicles and play mats. Toys are rotated throughout the school year.
A place to build with transparent shapes, view x-rays or shells, trace shapes, and play with plastic bugs, tweezers, and cages.
There is a kitchen with play food and dishes. The accessories and décor change with each season. This center becomes a hospital, airport, grocery store, dairy bar, train station etc. during the year. There are dolls, furniture and clothing.
Children do activities with water, ice and snow, and other kinds of tactile items.
Puzzles and Games
There is a huge selection of puzzles and educational table games.
Children study lava rocks, view plant growth, do float and sink experiments, attract objects with magnets, etc.
Children listen to storybooks on tape, and to a wide selection of music.
There is lots of space for group activities, and for playing with our large selection of gymnasium equipment. Potluck events are often hosted in the gymnasium.
